Sisters, playsets, and bears...oh my!

The weather has been so wonderful...the girls have been spending more and more time outside...

K has become quite the acrobat.

And she has the wardrobe to accentuate her moves:

Livy has become the adventurer as well...

You may have noticed a certain green bear in all the pictures?  L was the "chosen one" in her class to take home Charm for the weekend.  So we showed him how it is done in the Powell residence (including a certain vomiting incident that will not be elaborated...but those that have "stayed" with us...know it is not a good time until someone vomits).

Can't wait to see what the next adventure brings!

Outing with Daddy-February 19th-Florida State Fair

So daddy took the girls to the Florida State fair, a first for the girls and for daddy. While I stayed home to do my statistics H.W.
I asked they not ride the rides, I just don't think they are safe...we compromised on the ferris wheel. So the girls took a joy ride with daddy and Aunt Julie.
Then it appears they ate their way through the fair...

First on the menu...chocolate covered strawberries.
Next up bacon dipped in chocolate in the right hand and a chocolate covered strawberry in the left.
Yes, you heard right, bacon dipped in chocolate. I guess it was a crowd favorite!
Lucky for me, and their arteries, they just "looked" at the deep fried butter. Although I am sure the girls would have loved it!
They did engage in healthier activities as well.
Here is K Bug...

And L Bug...
They arrived home dead asleep in daddy's backseat last night, both with contents of a $13 bag of candy in hand (as well as sticky remnants on fingers and cheeks). This morning they were full of fair anecdotes and stories. Daddy paid for the "freak show."

They say that moms and dads do things "differently." THAT IS FOR SURE in our house...but our girls are SO LUCKY to have daddy to do things "his way." This is what memories are made of.

Powell Pets

Sir Oscar became a family member this December. He is great with the girls (most of the time...he gives a gurgle to warn them if he is irritated). He sure is a paradigm shift from Miles...his hair versus fur, his stature, how much he eats...He is STUBBORN like Miles though...we are FINALLY having a breakthrough with the potty situation.

We added hermit crabs to the mix two weekends ago. Unfortunately L's crab did not make the two week "cut off" for survival. We need to bring him back to exchange him for a stronger candidate.
